SwiftConnect is continuing its momentum with the acquisition of FlitchTech, a leading access control integration company located in Bishop’s Stortford, England. Founded by talented professionals Ewan Fleet and Harry Blethyn, with over 35 years of combined experience in the physical security industry, FlitchTech provides access-related services, including integrating access control systems to centralized databases, designing enterprise-level security platforms, custom data analytics, and data management services.

The FlitchTech acquisition follows SwiftConnect’s purchase of Detrios, whose custom integration capabilities, consulting, and higher education products and customers have been incorporated into the SwiftConnect network. The acquisition of FlitchTech further extends the company’s footprint in key European markets, including higher education, governmental entities, and enterprises.

Bringing SwiftConnect and FlitchTech under one roof is a natural evolution for both organizations based on the complementary core capabilities and regional presence:

  • FlitchTech’s client base, including the National Gallery, the Royal Opera House, and British Land, an existing joint SwiftConnect customer
  • FlitchTech’s integration capabilities and strong technology partnerships
  • FlitchTech’s traction in higher education in the UK, including Kingston University in London
  • SwiftConnect’s leadership in deploying NFC wallet-based, fully digitized access solutions in enterprises, commercial real estate buildings, and other markets

SwiftConnect co-CEOs Chip Kruger and Matt Kopel explained, “Our acquisition of FlitchTech showcases our commitment to SwiftConnect’s international expansion and extending Detrios capabilities into new geographies. FlitchTech’s custom integrations capabilities, partner relationships, and regional footprint are a perfect fit for the SwiftConnect network. We are excited to add Harry and Ewan and the FlitchTech team’s expertise to SwiftConnect’s exceptional talent pool, which is defining the future of connected access.”

FlitchTech Beginnings

Ewan Fleet and Harry Blethyn founded FlitchTech in 2020, leveraging their extensive experience in software development, data integration, and physical access control. Ewan has decades of experience in working for access control manufacturers and enterprise-level clients, including Microsoft. Harry has over 15 years of experience of writing bespoke data integrations for large access control clients.

Ewan and Harry added, “We are thrilled, not only about becoming part of a fast-growing company that is transforming physical access security, but also about the significant investments that SwiftConnect is making in the UK. With SwiftConnect’s extensive capabilities, local customer success and commitment to the region, we will be able to help ensure that European-based corporations, not-for-profit organizations, government entities, and building owners are at the leading edge of providing completely seamless and secure access experiences to anyone who needs it.”

Moving Forward

With headquarters in England, the FlitchTech team will continue to serve customers across the UK and beyond with industry-leading custom integration solutions and its ever-growing secure and adaptable data integration ecosystem.
